This is a change to previous information and we apologise for any confusion.
Flu Clinic 2020
The Practice is not big enough to maintain safe physical distancing to hold our Flu Clinics this year.
You will be invited for Vaccination at Falkirk Town Hall by Forth Valley NHS Trust.
Priority will remain with Over 65’s and the under 65’s at risk. You will be sent a letter soon with a date and time to attend and all relevant information will be in this letter.
If you are housebound you may also be sent a letter. Don’t worry the Practice will be in touch to arrange your vaccination at home.
Further information on Flu 2020 is available on
As of 17th August 2020 Childhood Immunisations Years 0-5 will transfer from the Practice to the Central Forth Valley Vaccination Team. The nurses from that team will carry out the immunisations from the Forth Valley Sensory Centre in Camelon. This means that any child from Birth to 5 years old who is due an immunisation after 17th August 2020 will go to the Forth Valley Sensory Centre. All recall and follow-up will be administered by this team.
Babies will still be seen at the Practice by a GP for their 8 weeks examination and we will contact you with an appointment.
The Practice will also be responsible for preschool child flu vaccinations.
If you have any queries about your child’s vaccination schedule or appointment please contact child health directly on 01786 454599.
Update Thursday 21st May 2020
If you are asked to attend the Practice to be seen following a telephone conversation we would respectfully ask that you wear a facial covering of the mouth and nose, for example a cloth face mask or scarf.
Update Monday 18th May 2020
From today the list of coronavirus symptoms has been updated. The advice is to self-isolate if you develop any of the following:
- a new continuous cough
- loss/change in your normal sense of smell or taste.
Please see the link below for the full statement from the UK chief medical officers on the update.
Updated Coronavirus Symptoms Statement.
Update 30th March 2020
Please be aware that although we are discouraging patients from attending the Practice in person, you can still contact us with any health related problems. We can respond by telephone or we can try to arrange a video link so we can assess things in a little more detail. All you need is a smart phone, tablet or computer. If these measures don't help and if needed we can arrange for you to attend the surgery as we are limiting the number of patients in the building at the same time. For shielding patients we can arrange for you to attend the surgery at a time when it will be free from other patients or if needed we can visit you at home.
All babies and children should still attend their immunisation appointments and these have also been arranged at times when there are less patients in the building.
We will attempt to keep this page and facebook updated as best we can but otherwise refer to NHS inform for the latest updates.
From 8am on Monday 23rd March 2020
All patients with any respiratory/chest infection or concerns that they may have Coronavirus should check online at NHS inform and follow the advice.
Patients with no internet access can call NHS24 on freephone 111.
Please do not call or attend the Practice if you have these symptoms.
All Other patients
In the interest of public safety we are trying to avoid face to face contact.
Patients with already pre-booked appointments with Practice Nurses - the nurses are reviewing patients with pre-booked appointments. If you are in the high risk category and do not need to be seen you should not come to the Practice - the Practice nurse will call you instead. Patients who are booked in for smears, injections, child immunisations should still attend their appointment if they are well or unless otherwise informed.
Patients booked in for blood tests - only patients who require essential bloods for drug/hospital monitoring should attend their appointment.
We are currently overwhelmed by the number of prescription requests received. There is no need to order early or extra medication. We will only process prescriptions that are ordered on time. Prescriptions are being sent to a local chemist of your choice to avoid you having to come to the practice to pick it up.
All the information you will need about the Practice can also be found in our Practice booklet. Please click on the link below to see our newly updated version.
